What is Cosplay?
Cosplay merges fandom with fantasy: dressing (and acting) as a favorite character to fuel roleplay. It can be faithful and elaborate or a quick nod with a wig and an outfit — either way, becoming someone else lowers inhibitions and opens up new scenes.
It leans heavily into anime and waifu culture, and overlaps with uniform and costume play like schoolgirl and maid looks.
