People use “kink” and “fetish” interchangeably, but they’re not the same. A simple, clear explanation — and why it doesn’t really matter what you call it.

“Kink” and “fetish” get used interchangeably, but there’s a subtle difference worth knowing.

Kink

A kink is any consensual sexual interest outside the “vanilla” mainstream — spanking, bondage, roleplay, power exchange. It’s something you enjoy, but usually not something you need.

Fetish

A fetish is when arousal is strongly tied to a specific object, body part or scenario — like a foot fetish or a latex fetish. For a true fetish, that element is often required for full arousal.

Does the label matter?

Honestly? Not much. Both are normal, common and healthy when consensual. The fun is figuring out what does it for you — which is exactly what rating the gallery helps you discover.
